Cracked Heels: Causes and Home Remedies



Cracked heels spoil the beauty of our feet, even if we wear shoes, these cracked heels are often visible and embarrassing in front of people. Due to walking throughout the day or due to excessive mud on the feet or walking on the floor, the skin of the heel becomes dry and then this dry skin accumulates in the form of layers on the heel, due to which the heels begin to crack. One of the main reasons for this is the lack of adequate moisture in the skin, keeping the skin moist helps prevent it from drying out.

Heels crack not only in winter but also in the summer season, so don't think that heels crack only because of dryness in winter. One of the causes of cracked heels is over-wearing shoes and wearing high-heeled slippers. A few things in the kitchen that can help you make your cracked heels soft again are:


• Apple Cider Vinegar:

Apple cider vinegar is antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fungal which helps in enhancing our beauty. To soften cracked heels, mix apple cider vinegar with half a cup of water and soak it in a cotton or cotton pad. Apply it on and leave it for some time, do this process once a day and you will see that in no time the dead skin of the heel will come off and new and soft skin will appear.


• Baking Soda:

Baking soda is very useful in our food and general daily use. It is also effective in softening cracked heels. Add a spoonful of baking soda to a tip full of lukewarm water and soak your feet in this water. Soak your feet in this water for half an hour and then wash it with plain water. By doing this, your damaged and dead skin will gradually be softened and the heels will be moisturized.


• lemon :


Lemon is considered effective because of stearic acid and this is why lemon also helps in softening cracked heels. Extract the lemon juice. And keep rubbing the remaining peel on the heels. By doing this, the skin muscles will soften from the area and release the dead skin, thus all cracked heels will be healed soon.


• Coconut oils

Coconut oil helps to retain moisture in the skin. After washing the feet thoroughly with water, massage coconut oil on them. This oil is anti-inflammatory and antiseptic which helps to control the problem of cracked heels.


Salt:


Salt is good for the beauty of the feet and heels. Take water in a cup and add two spoons of salt. Soak your feet in it. Now rub your feet well and wear socks.
